Granfeld Wealth Management Ltd was founded by Andreas Christofides in 2014. The business decision was based predominantly on the strategic forces that are re-shaping the Wealth Management industry globally and the strong belief that significant value can be created by specializing on the provision of services.
Andreas has a multi-year, international professional experience in Private Banking and Asset Management.
He commenced his career in 2001 in SanPaolo IMI Asset Management SGR, in Milan, where for the next 3 years he was a member of the asset allocation team, defining and implementing investment strategy.
Post MBA, in 2006, he joined Credit Suisse AG as Vice President in Zurich, as senior portfolio manager in the Premium Mandates team, Asset Management, managing tailored portfolios for UHNWI Italian clients.
Subsequently, in 2007, he joined the Private Banking division, based in Lugano, and worked in positions of Head Investment Consulting Services in Credit Suisse Monaco and for Premium clients in Lugano. He Chaired the Product Committee of Credit Suisse Monaco, participated in the Product Committee of the Italian market and contributed to the Global Investment Products and Services Committee of the division.
Andreas was promoted to Director in 2011, became Market Leader and Head of Poland/Eastern Europe, Private Banking, based in Zurich. During his tenure Credit Suisse twice received Euromoney’s award for Best Private Bank in CEE as well as Best Private Bank in Poland.
He served on the Central and Eastern Europe Management Committee of Credit Suisse AG, on the Executive Committee of Greece/Poland/Eastern Europe, Private Banking division and was co-chair of the Product Committee for these markets.
Since July 2015 he serves as non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors of Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd in Cyprus. He is a member of the Risk and Audit Committees.
He is a Cypriot National and is fluent in Greek (mother tongue), English and Italian.
Andreas studied Economics (BSc) at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Economics (Master’s degree) at Bocconi University in Milan and has an MBA from INSEAD.
